4 Aces And Seaton Spring Team Up To Complete A Triathlon

4 Aces’ managing director, Chris Penn joined with associate, Richard Allen and managing director of water cooler company, Paul Goad have completed the AJ Bell London Triathlon – the world’s largest triathlon.

The intrepid trio participated in the event on behalf of Just a Drop, managing to raise almost £1,000 for the international water aid charity, which works to provide people in the third world with clean water.

Taking part in the ‘Olympic’ distance, Chris completed the 1500 metre swim in the Thames, despite heavy rain, while Richard undertook the 40 kilometre cycling challenge and Paul did the 10 kilometre run.

Chris and Richard joined Paul for the last couple of hundred metres, ensuring that all three passed the finish line together before going off to celebrate their shared achievement. Chris comments: “It’s great to come together and take part in an event as big as this one, particularly when we know that we’re raising funds for such a good cause.

“The last few months of training certainly paid off. We hadn’t factored in the rain but we’re a pretty hardy bunch and we were all determined to see the challenge through, regardless of the weather.”
